The equipment saves energy in its normal use. It has a set of adjustable functions to maximise energy savings. Maximum energy savings happens when the cooling equipment, with its lid completely closed is located in a closed store.

It also has an alarm system to indicate a prolonged opening of the lid, compressor not working because of opened lid, troubles in the cooling system, and compressor short cycle protection. All these functions to save energy are part of MES system.

Maximum energy savings is an automatic function that can be activated manually when the user needs it.

This type of lighting reduces heat emissions inside the equipment meaning additional savings, increased durability, and a longer service life, around 50.000 hours. LED technology start-up time is quite short, less than 1 millisecond, and a fundamental difference with other types of technology.

LED lighting does not contain mercury, which is extremely dangerous to the environment, is another advantage of this kind of technology. Compare to fluorescent technology, these diodes do not generate high magnetic fields unlike magnetic induction technology that generates a greater residual radiation on human beings.

Therefore, the cooling circuit of our equipment is designed and manufactured with 100% copper pipelines.

So we make certain that our equipment do have high quality lids and doors to improve performance and save energy using seals to prevent fresh air from going in them. Our equipment are manufactured with lids and doors using double and triple tempered low-e glass thermal panels, with argon gas chamber and airtight seal.

Insulation

Pentane products are eco-friendly. They are utilised as polyurethane foam expansion agents to produce insulation for domestic and commercial thermal and cooling devices, freezers, refrigerated containers, and polyurethane insulation panels. Pentane is included in many mixed products reaching high levels of insulation. We offer different pentane mixes according to the needs of the customers.

Coolant


CO2: MIMET implements eco-friendly technology in the equipment that also helps to reduce electricity costs. It is important for the company to provide not only high quality equipment but also an excellent customer service.

It is an environmentally friendly coolant with a proven record in this regard meaning a global warming potential equal to one (GWP=1). The refrigerant Ozone Depletion Potential is almost non-existent (ODP=0). Among other positive things, CO2 is nonflammable, non-toxic, and non-hazardous. Its low temperature thermodynamics characteristics facilitate the volume reduction of the refrigerating circuit and save energy. In a refrigeration plant working with an air-cooled condensing unit, the refrigeration cycle operates above the critical point i.e., the transcritical cycle. The CO2 transcritical cycle is 4 to 5 times higher than the transcritical cycle in R22 and R404A. If it is applied in low temperatures, it is used as a refrigerant that is utilised in a cascade cooling system. In this way, the cycle works below the critical point i.e., the subcritical cycle. The CO2 subcritical cycle is 6 to 8 times higher than the subcritical cycle in R22, R404A and NH3. It is a low-cost installation because of the small diameters that have to be used. Its thermophysical properties such as low viscosity, high thermal conductivity, and high vapour density.

We work with refrigerants R290 y CO2-744. They are environmentally friendly meaning positive GWP and ODP levels.

Refrigerants, environmental characteristics, greenhouse gas: It is a gas in the planet’s atmosphere that absorbs and re-emits heat, warming the surface of the earth.

GWP: Global Warming Potential. It is an index that defines global warming over time. It compares the emission of 1kg of a greenhouse gas compared with CO2 over 100 year period.

ODP: Ozone Depletion Potential. Ozone Depletion Potential. It measures the relative amount of degradation a chemical compound can cause to the ozone layer. It is based on its duration period in the atmosphere, stability, reactivity, and chemical composition. ODP reference level is 1 for CFC-11.

Comparisons: Refrigerants R-290 y R-134a

The cooling effect of R-290 is considerably higher than R- 134a. It has a smaller compression ratio and a slightly superior volume. As a result, it delivers a minor phasic flow to generate the same cooling capacity. In contrast, its capacity to extract a higher amount of heat per kilogram of refrigerant is severely compromised regarding compression. It requires a greater amount of energy to increase refrigerant pressure from aspiration to discharge stages.

The main advantage of R-290 is the assurance of using a 100% eco-friendly refrigerant.

1. Copper pipelines are safe, durable, and reliable, giving our customer peace of mind.

2. It is capable of enduring the most extreme conditions. From 200°C in solar thermal energy facilities to -200°C in refrigerated liquefied gases.

3. The copper pipeline is the only material that is used in plumbing that is anti-microbial and hygienic. That is why is utilised in water pipelines intended for human consumption.

4. It can be recycled many times without losing its properties or reducing performance. There is a real possibility that a small fraction of the copper that is used in a pipe installation was also used to make jewelry in the Middle Ages or for minted coins in the Roman Empire.

5. All components are made according to standard measurements. So you can rest assured there will not be compatibility issues regarding pipes or any accessories from other manufacturers.

6. Copper pipelines systems are the only ones that combine ease of use, a fast installation, durability, low maintenance, anti-microbial properties, and are reliable for decades. If we consider the total cost of a pipeline system—useful life included—copper shows high profitability compared with other available materials in the market.
